36-HOUR WEATHER FORECAST
This is what happened when the project challenge read as follows: "Using the information provided in your local daily newspaper, visually, dynamically, and creatively represent the 36-hour weather forecast. You may use text and letter forms only." Armed with methods of ideation set forth in The Universal Traveler and a family history steeped in southern folklore, I created a "cattle drive" of 36 cows (one for each hour) based on my late grandfather's belief that cows stand when the weather will be sunny and lie down when rain is on the way. The forecasted temperature for each hour was "branded" on the hip of each cow. Something to consider: There are no boring projects — only bored designers.
